Adeia started as an ambitious project by classical violinist Laura ten Voorde. After playing only classical music for many years she finally wanted to perform music out of her comfort-zone, but closer to her heart. Using the possibilities of the Codarts Conservatory in Rotterdam to bring the dedicated musicians needed for the project together. They started on an exciting journey together to bring classical string-players and heavy-metal musicians together in one band. A task deemed impossible by many, but soon the technical difficulties were conquered and they were off! Combining the melodic and progressive classical elements with hard-hitting drums and heavy-guitar riffs their sound is daring and unprecedented.
